Advocate Health in North Carolina seeks a Flight Dispatcher to operate MedCenter Air, coordinating missions, selecting appropriate transport modes, and ensuring safety and timely communication.

Ideal candidates have EMT certification and EMS/dispatching experience, with a High School diploma and Associates degree preferred. This is a full-time, 40-hour position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Current EMT certification required or must obtain EMT certification within one year of hire.
• EMT-P certification preferred.
• 2 years of EMS/Fire/Law Enforcement/Critical Care dispatching experience preferred.
• 1 year previous flight coordination experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates Radios, computer systems, and equipment for MedCenter Air.
• Knows range, capabilities and limitations of aircraft and vehicles.
• Assigns most appropriate transport mode for each request.
• Coordinates and tracks all transport aspects and maintains safety.
• Maintains accurate pre/post-transport documentation and records.
• Confirms prescheduled transports on day of transport.
• Manages supplies and equipment cost-effectively; submits changes and credits.
