Job summary

Mountain Region Ambulatory seeks an Air Medical Communication Specialist to dispatch all transport activity and serve as the main communicator for the Flight For Life program. You will maintain the transfer center database and coordinate activities with staff across the program.

The role requires experience in healthcare dispatch and strong computer/navigation skills. You will work in a fast-paced environment prioritizing patient safety and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a healthcare-related field with at least two years of management experience.
• IAMTCS CFC Course completion within 18 months of employment.
• HS/GED is required.
• Experience in EMS-related field or dispatching for a public service agency (EMS, Fire, Police).
• Excellent computer and customer service skills; navigational and medical terminology knowledge; able to multi-task; map reading.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch all air medical transport activity and coordinate transfer center operations.
• Act as the primary communicator for the Flight For Life program and keep staff informed.
• Maintain the Flight For Life database and ensure accurate data entry and reporting.
• Demonstrate calm and effective communication under pressure to safeguard patient safety.
