Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Aerospace Systems Engineer to help develop flight-critical actuation systems and drive cross-disciplinary integration across mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and test engineering teams.

The role involves modeling, simulation, verification, and hands-on development through concept to production, with a hybrid schedule at the Tempe, AZ location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• Minimum of 3 years of Electro‑mechanical Systems Engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform system requirements analysis, decomposition, allocation, and traceability for complex aerospace actuation systems
• Develop and integrate electro‑mechanical actuation systems used in flight control applications
• Support architecture development and system‑level design trade studies
• Develop physics‑based models of actuators, motors, power transmission systems, sensors, and control systems
• Analyze system performance, stability, dynamic response, reliability, and failure modes
• Design and evaluate control architectures supporting flight‑critical applications
