Honeywell Aerospace in Tempe is seeking a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer to design, implement, and manage complex actuation systems. You will report to the Sr. Engineering Program Manager and work on a hybrid schedule, with an initial 90 days onsite.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and innovation across electro-mechanical systems. You will join a global team with responsibilities spanning requirements flow down, V&V, and hands-on development using Matlab/Simulink, DOORs, and real-time

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering systems experience.
• Desirable: Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree.

Responsibilities

• System and component requirements analysis and decomposition.
• Mechanical systems design and component controller integration.
• Electro-mechanical system and component modeling and analysis.
• Control architecture and design.
• Physics-based model development and system design.
• Root cause and corrective action planning and execution.
• Mechanical systems validation and verification.
• Customer technical interface.
• Effective delegation of work to team members.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics)
