Applegreen USA Welcome Centers is seeking a Shift Supervisor in New Jersey to lead daily shifts and uphold brand standards while delivering exceptional customer service to travelers. You will oversee team activities, manage cash handling, and ensure food safety and quality across operations.

The role includes training new team members, maintaining POS accuracy, and coordinating with plaza leadership to resolve issues. A positive, energetic attitude and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with travelers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per policy.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling, labeling, dating, stocking, rotating, and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen tasks such as prep, thawing, cooking, packaging and cleaning.
• Stock, clean and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or problems.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
