Job summary

Hudson House is seeking a friendly Host to welcome guests, manage seating, and coordinate front-of-house operations. You will engage guests warmly, assist with reservations, and maintain a polished entry area to ensure a memorable first impression.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Front-of-house hospitality mindset with a welcoming tone.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and punctual team player with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide concierge-level hospitality from arrival to departure.
• Engage guests on a name-to-name basis to create a warm atmosphere.
• Strategize seating and flow by reviewing reservations and requests.
• Maintain RESY notes and manage changes for bookings and events.
• Seat guests efficiently while balancing availability and pace.
• Demonstrate knowledge of menu, layouts, and seating plans.
• Answer phones with warmth and professionalism.
• Coordinate with servers, managers, and hosts for smooth operations.
• Assist guests with inquiries and special requests beyond standard service.
• Execute opening, mid-shift, closing, and side-work to keep the host stand polished.
