Job summary

Hudson House Southlake is seeking a Host to create a warm, welcoming first impression and ensure guests are seated efficiently based on availability and reservations. You will manage the dining room flow with confidence, support private bookings and events, and respond to guest inquiries with genuine warmth.

As a Host, you’ll greet guests, coordinate with servers and managers, and help deliver the Vandelay hospitality standard in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to greet guests warmly and communicate clearly.
• Strong focus on guest experience and service quality.
• Ability to manage seating flow and reservations with attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and complete service-standards training.

Responsibilities

• Provide concierge-level hospitality from arrival to departure.
• Build relationships with guests, greeting by name when possible.
• Strategize seating and dining room flow using RESY and guest profiles.
• Maintain RESY notes and manage seating changes for private bookings and events.
• Seat guests efficiently while balancing pace and availability.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of menu items and seating arrangements.
• Answer phone calls with warmth and professionalism.
• Coordinate with servers and managers to ensure smooth front-of-house operations.
• Assist with guest inquiries and special requests to exceed expectations.
• Execute opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures to keep the host stand organized.
