Hudson House, a Vandelay Companies restaurant, seeks a Host to deliver a warm, gracious welcome and coordinate seating with a focus on guest satisfaction. You will manage reservations, assist with special requests, and contribute to a seamless front-of-house experience.

Ideal candidates are 18+ with a passion for hospitality, strong communication, reliability, and a willingness to learn our service standards. Training and food-handling certification may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-focused.
• Willing to learn service standards and guest experience principles.
• Food handling certification as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide concierge-level hospitality; welcome guests and manage seating.
• Build relationships with guests and foster a warm atmosphere.
• Strategize seating and dining flow using RESY and guest profiles.
• Maintain RESY notes for private bookings and events.
• Seat guests efficiently while balancing service needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of menu items and seating layouts.
• Answer phone calls professionally and warmly.
• Coordinate seating plans with servers and managers.
