Hudson House is seeking a Server Assistant to support the service team in delivering exceptional hospitality in a fast-paced setting. You will help with front-of-house cleanliness, assist servers and bartenders, and ensure guests have a welcoming and seamless dining experience from arrival to departure.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude, with flexibility in a busy dining room and opportunities for professional development within Vandelay concepts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and work ethic.
• Team-oriented with punctuality and reliability.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a positive, respectful attitude toward guests and colleagues.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• TABC Certification, as required.
• State/local certifications for food and alcohol service as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall cleanliness of the restaurant and service areas.
• Assist servers, bartenders and hosts; understand menu items and ingredients.
• Run food from kitchen to guest tables after courses are complete and accurate.
• Run beverages from the bar to tables and keep beverages topped up.
• Clear used dishes between courses and after guests depart; reset tables.
• Coordinate with servers, bartenders and hosts to ensure efficient seating and service.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables and chairs in assigned area; reset vacated tables.
• Perform general cleaning to meet health and safety standards.
• Other duties as required.
