Job summary

Kroger is seeking a dedicated cashier/checker at 1500 Pinecrest Ave, Stevens Point, WI 54481. You will greet customers, process transactions, and operate the POS system while following policy on discounts, restricted items and loss prevention to ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience.

Experience in a grocery setting is helpful. Flexible scheduling, part-time opportunities, and opportunities for growth are available in a busy store environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greeting, engaging and assisting customers in the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Understand and operate the POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, coupons).
• Understand and adhere to limits on cash shortages/overages and loss prevention policies.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
