Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lanes.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks and coupons according to policy.
• Maintain loss prevention by adhering to cash handling limits.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Stay updated with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety programs.
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming environment and answer product questions.
