Job summary

Mad Science Group in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking enthusiastic instructors to lead one-hour, after-school science enrichment sessions once a week for 8–10 weeks.

You'll deliver a hands-on, entertaining class using a pre-set curriculum, inspire curious children aged 4–12, and train with the curriculum and materials provided. This part-time role fits flexible schedules and offers $50 per class in a low-commute setting. Occasional daytime programming may be available.

Qualifications

• Some experience working with groups of elementary-age (4-12) children (preferred).
• Must be available at least two weekdays after 2 p.m.
• Must have reliable transportation that is not public or ride-share.
• All employees will be fingerprinted for criminal background checks (required).
• Some college.
• Have a fun & outgoing personality.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating a one-hour after-school science enrichment program using a pre-set curriculum.
• Each session is a high-energy, part entertainment, part education, hands-on class that meets for one hour each week for 8-10 weeks.
• Enjoy teaching young children the art of science!
• Occasional daytime programming if your availability allows
