Job summary

Mad Science is seeking enthusiastic instructors for after-school science enrichment programs in Pleasanton, CA. The role involves delivering a one-hour, hands-on class weekly for 8 to 10 weeks using a preset curriculum.

Ideal candidates are comfortable engaging elementary-age children (4–12) with a fun, outgoing personality, and are available after 2 p.m. on at least two weekdays. Fingerprinting background checks are required, and we provide curriculum training and all materials.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with elementary-age groups is preferred.
• Must be available at least two weekdays after 2 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a one-hour after-school science enrichment program using a pre-set curriculum.
• Each session is a high-energy, part entertainment, part education, hands-on class that meets once a week for 8–10 weeks.
• Enjoy teaching young children the art of science.
• Occasional daytime programming if your availability allows.
