Job summary

MAD SCIENCE after-school program seeks energetic instructors to lead one-hour science sessions weekly for 8–10 weeks. Training and all materials are provided; join a fun, hands-on teaching team.

Responsibilities include delivering a preset curriculum, engaging elementary students (ages 4–12), and occasionally teaching daytime sessions if available. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling and rewarding experiences for educators with a passion for science education.

Qualifications

• Some experience working with groups of elementary-age children (4-12) preferred.
• Must be available at least two weekdays after 2 p.m.
• Must have reliable transportation that is not public or ride share
• All employees will be fingerprinted for criminal background checks (required)
• Some college
• Have a fun & outgoing personality

Responsibilities

• Facilitating a one-hour after-school science enrichment program using a pre-set curriculum.
• Each session is a high-energy, part entertainment, part education, hands-on class that meets for one hour each week for 8-10 weeks.
• Enjoy teaching young children the art of science!
• Occasional daytime programming if your availability allows
