Job summary

Mad Science Group is seeking a part-time instructor to run an after-school science enrichment program in Burlingame, CA. You will lead a one-hour weekly session using a pre-set curriculum and engage elementary-age children with hands-on activities.

The role offers a flexible schedule, occasional daytime programming, and requires fingerprinting for background checks. Availability on at least two weekdays after 2 p.m. and reliable, non-public transportation are important.

Qualifications

• Some experience working with groups of elementary-age children (4-12) preferred.
• Must be available at least two weekdays after 2 p.m.
• Must have reliable transportation that is not public or ride share.
• All employees will be fingerprinted for criminal background checks (required).
• Have a fun & outgoing personality.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating a one-hour after-school science enrichment program using a pre-set curriculum.
• Each session is a high-energy, part entertainment, part education, hands-on class that meets for one hour each week for 8-10 weeks.
• Enjoy teaching young children the art of science!
• Occasional daytime programming if your availability allows
