Job summary

Stern Therapy Consultants seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a PRN opportunity in Blackstone Valley, Whitinsville, MA. You will evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing needs and develop individualized treatment plans.

Provide skilled therapy addressing communication, cognition, and dysphagia, monitor progress, educate residents and families, maintain clinical documentation, and collaborate with nursing and rehab staff.

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Skilled nursing or post-acute rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required.
• New graduate Speech-Language Pathologists are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and resident goals.
• Provide skilled therapy addressing communication, cognition, and dysphagia.
• Monitor resident progress and modify treatment approaches when appropriate.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication and safe swallowing strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
