Job summary

Stern Therapy Consultants is hiring a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist for Bear Mountain in Sudbury, MA. You will evaluate and treat adults with communication, cognitive and swallowing needs in a skilled nursing setting, coordinating with nursing and dietary staff to optimize care outcomes.

Responsibilities include developing goals, documenting progress, and coaching residents and families to extend therapy benefits beyond sessions; compensation is $60–$65 per hour with PRN scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications

• Active MA Speech-Language Pathologist license is required.
• Strong assessment and treatment skills for adult communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and timely documentation.
• Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing to set clinical priorities.
• Develop individualized treatment goals aligned with residents' routines and rehab needs.
• Provide therapy for communication disorders and cognitive/attention/memory challenges.
• Assess swallowing function and coordinate care with nursing and dietary staff.
• Coach residents, families and caregivers to extend therapy benefits beyond sessions.
• Maintain clinical documentation, measure progress, and participate in care conferences.
