Job summary

Stern Therapy Consultants is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) on a PRN basis for New London Rehab & Care of Waterford in Waterford, CT. The SLP will evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing needs, delivering individualized plans within a collaborative rehab setting.

Qualified applicants hold an active Connecticut SLP license and a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology.

Qualifications

Active Connecticut Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Strong clinical and communication skills.
Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required.
New graduate SLPs are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

Evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing function.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on resident needs and findings.
Provide skilled therapy addressing communication, cognition, and dysphagia.
Monitor resident progress and modify treatment approaches as appropriate.
Educate residents, families, and caregivers on strategies for communication and safe swallowing.
Maintain clear and timely clinical documentation.
Coordinate care with nursing and rehab staff.
