Qualifications

• Respiratory Therapy degree from a CoARC accredited program.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Virginia Board of Medicine.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC) credential.
• ACLS and BLS required.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced respiratory care services and assess patients across care settings.
• Perform basic and advanced therapeutic, diagnostic and life support procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and family to develop, implement, and evaluate an age-appropriate plan of care.
• Document treatments and medications accurately.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and annual competency validation.
• Provide education to patients and families about respiratory care.
