Carilion Clinic seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (Respiratory Therapist - Adults, Flex Pool) to deliver comprehensive respiratory care across general and intensive care settings, and home care environments as needed. You will assess patients, implement plans, and collaborate with the care team to improve outcomes and reduce length of stay.

The role requires an Associate degree or equivalent from a CoARC approved program, VA license, and NBRC RRT certification.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and/or certification required from a CoARC approved school of respiratory therapy.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the VA State Board of Medicine.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC.
• Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills; orientation/competency validation.
• BLS within 3 months; ACLS/NRP/PALS may be required within one year.

Responsabilités

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with care team to develop an age-specific plan of care.
• Administer and document treatments and medications for all ages.
• Educate patients and families and participate in performance improvement.
• Act as patient advocate and support psychological/social/cultural needs.
