Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for adults in the Roanoke, VA area. The role involves delivering a full range of respiratory care procedures in general and ICU settings, across all ages, with emphasis on patient outcomes and safety.

The position requires VA licensure as an RRT, an associate degree (or higher) in respiratory therapy, and ability to obtain BLS within 3 months; ACLS/NRP/PALS may be required within a year. Flexible scheduling and diverse care settings offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory therapy or equivalent; CoARC approved program.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in VA; RRT certification.
• Able to obtain BLS within 3 months; ACLS/NRP/PALS within one year may be required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care in general and intensive care areas or home care environments.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for all ages.
• Collaborate with health care team to develop and evaluate an age-specific plan of care.
