Job summary

The Lakes Home Care, Inc. in Venice, FL is looking for a compassionate Home Health Aide to assist patients with daily living and personal care in their homes according to an established care plan.

Responsibilities include helping with baths, oral hygiene, dressing, feeding, taking vital signs when ordered, safe transfers, ROM exercises, light laundry, and ensuring patient safety. Strong communication with the nurse supervisor is essential.

Qualifications

• Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program

Responsibilities

• Baths, oral hygiene, dressing and undressing, toileting activities, feeding, etc.
• Taking and recording vital signs and other measurements when ordered
• Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
• Exercise according to the plan of care
• Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as ordered
• Patient’s laundry and home safety observation
• Observes and documents patient condition and reports changes to the nurse supervisor
