Job summary

The Lakes Home Care, Inc. in Florida seeks a compassionate Home Health Aide to assist patients with daily living activities in their homes according to an established care plan.

You will perform baths, dressing, feeding and mobility support, take vital signs when ordered, ensure safety, document observations for the supervising nurse, and participate in Maxim’s competency program. Part-time, flexible hours and competitive pay are offered. Join our caring team today.

Qualifications

• Must have training per state/federal laws
• Able to read, follow written instructions and document care
• Current CPR certification required
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Completion of Maxim screening examinations
• Participation and completion of Maxim competency program

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities per care plan (baths, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Take and record vital signs as ordered (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure)
• Provide safe transfers and ambulation support
• Assist with prescribed exercises and ROM as directed
• Light housekeeping and patient laundry
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment
• Observe and document patient condition and report changes to nurse supervisor
• Communicate clearly with patient, family/caregiver and office
• Follow care plan and complete assigned tasks
• Educate patient on home safety practices
• Recognize emergencies and apply emergency procedures
