Job summary

Allied Universal® Event Services is hiring for the Event Security Team at Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. You will check bags, enforce access control and ensure guest safety while delivering top-tier customer service.

This part-time role offers flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and no prior experience is required. A Level 2 Security License (Guard Card) is required. Starting pay is $16/hour, with training provided and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• Background check and post-offer drug/alcohol test may be required; additional screening if driving company vehicle.
• Ability to exercise good independent judgment and discretion.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Check bags and enforce access control.
• Direct guests and verify wristbands and badges.
• Screen guests with bag searches, hand wand or metal detector, and ID verification.
• Protect guests, staff and venue assets from security breaches.
• Respond quickly to incidents and provide escorts for unruly guests when needed.
• Follow policies and procedures for various venues and events.
• Provide directions and assistance to enhance guest experience.
