Job summary

Allied Universal Event Services at Lamar University in Beaumont, TX is hiring Event Staff to support venues such as sports stadiums, concerts, and conventions. Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent).
• Background investigation and post-offer drug/alcohol test; Driver’s Record check may be required.
• Be professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
• Welcomes and ushers guests, may collect/scan tickets, verify wristbands and badges, direct traffic into/out of the venue.
• Demonstrates understanding of policies and regulations of venues and events.
• Greets guests warmly at entrances and concourses, and thanks them at encounter completion.
• Provides guests with directions and suggestions to enhance their experience.
• Interacts with guests with a friendly voice and tone.
