Job summary

Allied Universal® Event Services seeks Event Staff for Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. You’ll welcome guests, usher attendees, and help ensure smooth entry and crowd management with friendly, professional service.

No prior experience required; we provide training and flexible, part-time hours. The role offers early pay options and a starting rate of $14 per hour, with opportunities to grow within the events team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent).
• Background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test may be required; Driver’s Record check may be required.
• Be professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in event day preparation and execution.
• Direct foot traffic and welcome/usher guests; scan tickets or verify wristbands as needed.
• Greet guests and provide directions to enhance their experience.
• Maintain venue entrance, concourse areas, and general cleanliness and order.
