Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is seeking a flexible on-call Substitute Teacher to support mixed-age classrooms (0–6) across our programs. No formal Montessori training is required; orientation will include training and onboarding to help you step into classrooms as needed.

You’ll support daily routines, help maintain a calm, nurturing learning environment, and have opportunities to transition into full-time Assistant Teacher roles. This position offers part-time, flexible hours to fit your schedule.

Qualifications

• Negative TB test within the last 12 months.
• Valid state background check.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Warm, friendly, and dependable demeanor.
• Passion for working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Step into classrooms as needed to support children and maintain consistency.
• Assist with daily routines and classroom activities across mixed-age groups.
• Help create a warm, safe, and engaging environment for children.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of care.
• Model patience, professionalism, and kindness in every interaction.
