Job summary

Addus HomeCare is urgently hiring a Flex Home Care Aide - Core to support seniors and individuals with disabilities in their own homes. The position is on call for 5 days per week with 40 hours weekly and at least one weekend day, with 20 hours guaranteed.

You will follow care plans, assist with daily tasks, transport clients, and monitor health changes under supervisor guidance. The role requires compassion, reliability, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation; if by car, a valid driver's license and proof of insurance is required.

Responsibilities

• Call into the office every morning for assignment.
• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care needs (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Transport client to doctor appointments, grocery store and other errands.
• Assist client with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client's condition.
