Job summary

Addus HomeCare is urgently hiring Flex Home Care Aides to support seniors and people with disabilities living at home. You will follow personalized care plans, assist with daily tasks, and help maintain independence in the community.

The role requires reliability, compassion, and the ability to work with limited supervision. You must be 18+, pass a background check, have reliable transportation, and be willing to be on-call for 24-hour shifts, five days a week, including at least one weekend day.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if driving.
• On-call for 24-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Call into the office every morning for assignment.
• Follow care plans and report on completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care needs (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meals, and laundry.
• Transport client to doctor's appointments and errands.
• Assist with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client’s condition.
