Job summary

Addus Homecare is urgently hiring Flex Home Care Aides to support seniors and people with disabilities living independently at home. The role is on call for 5 days per week with 20 hours guaranteed; a weekend day is required.

A successful candidate will follow care plans, assist with personal care, meal prep, transportation to appointments, and report changes to the office. Must be 18, pass a background check, have reliable transportation, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation; if by car, valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Call into the office every morning for assignment.
• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist with routine house cleaning, meal prep, and laundry.
• Transport client to doctor appointments, groceries, and other errands.
• Assist client with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client’s condition.
