Job summary

Addus Homecare seeks a dedicated Home Care Aide - Core to support seniors and disabled clients living in their homes. You will be on-call 5 days per week, with 40 hours weekly and 20 guaranteed, performing essential in-home tasks and following individualized care plans.

Responsibilities include personal care, household tasks, and safe transportation to appointments, with a focus on compassionate, reliable service and adherence to care plans.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation (driver's license and proof of insurance if driving).
• Nurturing and compassionate by nature with desire to care for others.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Call office each morning for assignments.
• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Assist with routine house cleaning, meal prep, and laundry.
• Transport client to appointments and errands.
• Assist self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client condition.
