Job summary

Scoot Education is seeking substitutes to support students across classrooms, playgrounds, and cafeterias. You will supervise and foster an inclusive learning environment, following provided lesson plans and school policies.

This role involves routine management, clear communication with staff, and occasional lifting as needed. Ideal candidates hold a teaching credential or related credentials, have strong classroom empathy, and may have bilingual experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, associate's degree or college credits required.
• Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor.
• State & federal background checks.
• TB risk assessment or test.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students in the classroom, playground, or cafeteria.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions per lesson plans.
• Communicate clearly with school staff and leave feedback for the returning teacher.
• Sit, stand, walk, and assist students up to 30 lbs safely.
• Observe and communicate across indoor and outdoor settings.
• Follow handbook and interview-provided role requirements.
