Job summary

Scoot Education is seeking dedicated substitutes to support students in classrooms, playgrounds, and cafeterias. You’ll be matched to assignments that fit your skills, receive 1:1 consultant support, and enjoy the stability of W-2 employment with daily pay options.

Training opportunities and rapid onboarding are available as you build teaching experience with professional guidance. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree or higher, provide three references, and can pass state and federal

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, associate's degree or college credits.
Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor.
State & federal background checks.
TB risk assessment or test.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support students in the classroom, playground, or cafeteria.
Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Encourage student engagement and participation throughout the day.
Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions, following any lesson plans left by the teacher.
Communicate clearly with school staff. Leave brief notes or feedback for the returning teacher.
Sitting, standing, and walking, and able to lift up to 30 lbs while safely assisting students.
Observe and communicate across varied environments, incl. indoor and outdoor settings.
