Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and report incidents to the Manager on Duty.

The role requires at least 1 year in customer service or retail, the ability to stand for long periods, and a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Part-time position with associate discounts and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
• Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
• Ability to exhibit a positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision making.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Excellent leadership skills that support fostering productive business relationships.
• Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule; including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances/exits to reduce theft opportunities and maintain security.
• Greet every customer with a warm, loud, friendly greeting and promote a sense of control and safety.
• Report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Identify and communicate security risks during store rallies and trainings.
