Job summary

McCarthy & Stone, the UK’s leading retirement living provider, seeks a House Manager for the Idle, Bradford estate. You will be the welcoming, professional point of contact for homeowners and families, supporting a safe, independent lifestyle for residents.

Role is 35 hours weekly (Mon–Fri, year-round) with a salary of £26,317.20 per year plus benefits and bonus. Training and development are provided to grow in a friendly, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing or service management roles.
• Excellent communication and proactive attitude.
• Organising events and community activities.
• Awareness of Health and Safety principles; first aid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Welcome homeowners and help them settle into new homes.
• Provide front-of-house service and engage with visitors.
• Assist residents and offer guidance or support as needed.
• Manage supplier relationships for day-to-day operations.
• Be the face of McCarthy Stone for families and friends.
• Handle resident concerns with confidentiality and respect.
• Oversee estate management including communal areas and grounds.
• Organise social events and regular resident meetings to foster community.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
