Job summary

TheraCare is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time home health role serving Willow Brook, TX and surrounding areas. You will provide in-home physical therapy to adult and geriatric patients, focusing on mobility, strength and safe functional independence.

Enjoy a flexible daytime schedule, autonomy in planning patient care, and the support of a collaborative interdisciplinary team while delivering one-on-one care in patients' homes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Active PTA license in the state of Texas.
• Home Health experience (1 year preferred).
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled home health physical therapy under supervision of a licensed PT.
• Carry out individualized plans of care (POC) created by supervising PT.
• Treat patients with orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, and post-surgical conditions.
• Administer exercises, gait and balance training, and functional mobility activities.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety.
• Document accurately in electronic medical records per Medicare regulations.
• Follow infection control standards and home health safety protocols.
