Job summary

VitalCaring is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for home health in Texas. You will deliver one-on-one care, guiding patients toward independence in their own homes, under a licensed PT. This role emphasizes compassionate, hands-on therapy and coordinating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current PTA license or certification as required by state law.
• 1+ year of home health experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Follow individualized plans of care to help patients reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and functional mobility.
• Support patients with transfers, strengthening, and activities of daily living.
• Utilize modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and use of assistive devices.
• Observe and report patient progress and changes in condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Communicate effectively with the Physical Therapist and care team.
