RWE Americas, LLC in Austin, TX is seeking a Business Development Manager for our Flexible Generation team. You will originate and develop energy solutions for data center load customers, combining gas-fired generation with renewables, storage and interconnection projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in the U.S. electric power sector or related field.
• Experience with at least one leading U.S. utility, IPP, hyperscaler/co-lo/neocloud or data center developer.
• Demonstrated ability to create new business opportunities through relationships.

Responsibilities

• Create and build relationships across energy and data center ecosystem to support RWE FlexGen objectives.
• Manage commercial progress from conception to term sheet with hyperscalers and data center customers.
• Research market intelligence from public sources and direct relationships to inform development activities.
• Maintain relationships with utilities, co-ops, munis and load-serving entities for insights on generation needs and tariffs.
• Increase visibility of RWE FlexGen through outreach, conferences, and networking across energy and data center sectors.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to shape energy campus opportunities to meet customer and partner needs.
