Job summary

Avis Budget Group is seeking an enthusiastic team member for an outdoor role at our Jacksonville, FL location. You will manage vehicle entry and exit, perform pre-delivery and post-use inspections, and help prepare vehicles for rental across multiple brands.

Responsibilities include handling license plates, registrations, and keys, while ensuring accurate records and efficient fleet movement. The position requires 18+, valid license, and on-site presence with possible shift variations.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Strong attention to detail with effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• Ability to work outdoors or near a mechanical shop with moderate noise levels.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive vehicles.
• Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry.
• Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely.
• Previous experience in auto service, fleet operations, or vehicle maintenance is a strong advantage

Responsibilities

• Oversee entry and exit of vehicles within rental fleet.
• Conduct pre-delivery and post-use inspections.
• Install and remove license plates; coordinate vehicle registration paperwork, stickers, and keys.
• Ensure records are accurate and up to date.
• Prepare newer vehicles across makes/models for customer rental.
• Support vehicle transitions out of fleet to used car lots, auctions, or buyers.
• Assist in organized movement and positioning of vehicles to maintain efficiency.
