Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring a detail-oriented vehicle prep associate to manage the entry and exit of rental fleet vehicles in an outdoor environment. You will perform pre-delivery and post-use inspections, handle license plates, registrations, and keys, and help prepare vehicles for customer rental across various makes and models.

Role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, outdoor work, and the ability to work flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Strong attention to detail with effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• Ability to work outdoors or near a mechanical shop with moderate noise levels.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive vehicles.
• Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely.
• Previous experience in auto service, fleet operations, or vehicle maintenance is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee entry and exit of vehicles within the rental fleet, including pre-delivery and post-use inspections.
• Install and remove license plates; coordinate vehicle registration paperwork, stickers, and keys; ensure records are up to date.
• Prepare newer vehicles for customer rental across multiple makes and models; support transitions of vehicles out to retail lots, auctions, or buyers.
• Support movement and positioning of vehicles around the lot to maintain efficient operations.
• Ensure vehicles are properly documented, safe, and ready; directly support fleet accuracy and customer experience.
