Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring for an on-site role in Jacksonville, FL. You will oversee vehicle entry and exit, perform inspections, and handle license plates and registrations to ensure accurate fleet records and a smooth customer experience.

The position requires outdoor work, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior auto service or fleet operation experience is a plus, and compensation starts at $14.00 per hour with potential shift premium.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Strong attention to detail with effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• Ability to work outdoors or near a mechanical shop with moderate noise levels.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive vehicles.
• Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely.
• Previous experience in auto service, fleet operations, or vehicle maintenance is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entry and exit of vehicles within the rental fleet.
• Conduct pre-delivery and post-use inspections.
• Install and remove license plates, coordinate vehicle registration paperwork, stickers, and keys.
• Prepare newer vehicles for customer rental across multiple brands.
• Support the transition of vehicles out of the fleet for retail or other buyers.
• Assist with movement and positioning of vehicles to maintain efficient operations.
• Ensure records are accurate and up to date to support fleet accuracy and customer experience.
