Job summary

The City of Tucson General Services Department seeks a Fleet Equipment Specialist to design vehicle and equipment specifications, manage upfitting, and oversee procurement and inventory for the city fleet.

Under the Fleet Superintendent, you will lead daily operations, coordinate with departments, track warranties, and ensure regulatory compliance across a 2000+ fleet. Strong planning and vendor liaison skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Three years of directly related experience.
• Valid Arizona Class D Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with departments to create and review vehicle, equipment, and upfit bid specifications.
• Researches new vehicles, technology and equipment to meet operational needs.
• Purchases, tracks, and coordinates rolling stock units for the fleet.
