Job summary

The County of San Diego Department of General Services - Fleet Services Division is seeking a Fleet Standards Technician to prepare routine specifications for light vehicles and to coordinate their purchase, maintenance, and salvage. This role involves licensing, registration, and outfitting across County fleets.

Ideal candidates will provide strong customer service, work closely with vendors on outfitting projects, and review new vehicles against order specifications.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience preparing technical specifications for light duty vehicles and equipment.
• At least one year of experience processing vehicle registrations with the DMV and coordinating vehicle modifications with shops, vendors, and user departments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare routine specifications for light vehicles and mobile equipment.
• Research and coordinate purchase, maintenance, and salvage of vehicles; licensing and outfitting to meet order specifications.
