Job summary

Triple-S Steel Holdings, Inc. seeks a qualified Traffic Supervisor to lead safe and efficient steel transportation and logistics operations in Richmond, VA.

You will oversee drivers, dispatch, fleet maintenance, and DOT compliance while driving cost savings and process improvements. You will work with sales teams and customers to meet delivery timelines, manage scheduling and routing, and ensure accurate recordkeeping.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: 4-year degree related to Logistics/Distribution and/or 3 years of prior fleet dispatch/management experience
• Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures with multiple distribution centers
• Creativity and latitude to meet customer expectations
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety, performance, and daily operations of the Richmond Traffic Team
• Schedule, dispatch, and route drivers for steel deliveries in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
• Coordinate with sales teams and customers to meet delivery needs and timelines
• Monitor driver performance, support reviews, and assist with disciplinary actions
• Manage fleet maintenance, inspections, and preventive maintenance scheduling
• Maintain DOT compliance, including driver and equipment records
• Track fuel usage, tire inventory, and overall fleet efficiency
• Ensure proper utilization and compliance of third-party carriers
• Drive cost-saving initiatives, including overtime reduction and operational improvements
• Support projects (e.g., pallet recycling) and maintain regular communication with drivers
• Other duties as assigned
