Job summary

FedEx Freight in Livermore, CA seeks a Vehicle Maintenance Technician to provide timely, quality preventive maintenance and repairs for tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. You will perform diagnostics, document work, support safety inspections, and collaborate with a team.

A HS diploma or GED and one year of vehicle maintenance experience (or a related certificate) are required; ASE certifications and Class A CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED), preferred.
• One year experience in vehicle maintenance or completion of FedEx Freight Apprentice Program.
• ASE certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools for tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify trouble sources and makes adjustments for safe operation.
• Works with technicians to perform maintenance and repairs.
• Documents all maintenance performed both in writing and electronically.
• Performs safety inspections and paints/body work as required.
• Complies with laws, regulations, and company policies.
