Job summary
FedEx Freight is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician in Irvine, CA, to repair and maintain a diverse vehicle fleet including tractors, trailers, and forklifts. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and execute repairs to ensure safe operation and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate has at least five years in heavy‑duty vehicle maintenance, with certification options such as an ASE Master. Strong documentation, safety discipline, and mentoring abilities are valued.
Qualifications
- Five (5) years’ experience in vehicle maintenance.
- Heavy-duty vehicle maintenance background required; ASE Master certification substitutes for additional experience.
- Proficient in brakes, electrical, PMI, powertrain, and trailing equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Repair, modify and perform preventive maintenance inspections on tractors, trailers, forklifts and related equipment.
- Perform advanced diagnostics to identify trouble sources and complete repairs or rebuilds as needed.
- Maintain documentation in writing and electronically and provide guidance to less-experienced technicians.
- Ensure safety inspections and compliance with laws, regulations and company policies.
