Job summary

Jefferson County, Colorado is seeking a Fleet Systems Maintenance Technician to perform skilled work in operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing fleet fuel systems. You will inspect fuel facilities for regulatory compliance, assist with motor pool operations, and ensure equipment readiness for on-site driving tasks.

The role requires on-site work at the Central Shop with an on-call rotation outside normal hours.

Qualifications

• One year of work-related experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and adjust mechanical components of liquid fuel systems.
• Read fuel meters and schedule deliveries to maintain constant supplies.
• Inspect electrical wiring, switches, and controls for safe operation and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain storage tanks and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule and respond to fuel-related emergencies.
