Job summary

Jefferson County in Golden, CO seeks a Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of gas, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles. You will diagnose issues, perform engine and transmission repairs, and maintain service records using fleet management software.

The role operates on a four-day week (Mon-Thu, 6:00 am–4:30 pm) on site, with starting hourly pay $30.00–$35.00, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, retirement matching, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• One year work related experience.
• CDL may be required within one year of employment.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• ASE auto mechanic certification preferred.
• CDL.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles, perform major engine adjustments and rebuilds, replace parts and service records; monitor preventive maintenance.
• Repair drivetrains, brakes, steering and other systems; ensure compliance and asset tracking.
