Job summary

Axon in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an experienced Director of Fleet Operations to lead the strategy, performance, and full lifecycle management of its fleet and assets. You will translate business objectives into scalable fleet plans, ensuring safety, compliance, reliability, and cost discipline.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Operations, you will own budgets, asset lifecycle, supplier relationships, and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, operations, logistics, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in fleet operations, transportation, logistics, or asset management with leadership responsibility.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience with building organizational capability.
• Experience developing multi-year fleet or asset-management strategy in a complex org.
• Experience owning operating and capital budgets and delivering measurable improvements in TCO.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of a multi-year fleet strategy aligned with growth, service requirements, and capital priorities.
• Own fleet operating and capital budgets, including planning, forecasting, and investment cases.
• Establish safety policies, compliance with DOT, FMCSA, IFTA, and IRP requirements.
• Lead fleet technology roadmap, telematics, and asset-management systems.
• Drive data-driven improvements, prioritize investments, and present to senior leadership.
• Build and coach a high-performing fleet organization with cross-functional alignment.
