Job summary

The City of Scottsdale is seeking a Fleet Director to lead the administration of municipal fleet operations, ensuring safety, reliability, and readiness for police, fire, transit, sanitation, and other city vehicles.

As an executive leader, you will oversee acquisition, maintenance, and lifecycle planning, manage multimillion-dollar budgets, and drive innovative, cost-efficient solutions across departments to support exemplary public service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Business or Public Administration or a related field.
• Six years' experience in fleet management, including five years of managerial experience.
• Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or job-related experience which meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Oversee municipal fleet operations including acquisition, maintenance, replacement planning, and lifecycle management.
• Lead multimillion-dollar operating and capital budgets and drive cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate across City departments to maximize fleet performance and support public service goals.
• Leverage data and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions and future readiness.
